My striking Sunday!

Today, as usual, I attended the Sunday mass at my church. However, this Sunday was different. It was celebrated as Women's Day, and one of our women members took the lead in delivering the sermon.

Initially, I was not expecting much, but as it went on, her words truly struck a chord with me.

She shared a quote from a late doctor. A woman who, despite losing her legs in an unfortunate accident, continued to perform surgeries, build a rehabilitation center for the physically challenged, helped many others in her own possible ways. The quote was, "I asked for feet, I was given wings to fly." This message simply made a strike and deeply touched my heart.

Most of the time, we find ourselves complaining about what we lack or what we could have earned or owned. We might also be chasing after something we desire. In doing so, we often forget to appreciate what we have gained and be grateful for it.

The sermon emphasized the importance of believing in God without doubt, especially during difficult times, as there's a reason for everything that happens in our life. It reminded me that when it feels like we have been abandoned by God or the universe, we got to believe that, blessings and glory will eventually shine upon us. We will truly get what we deserve but at its right time. All of us have our different beliefs but it should not matter as long as we know there is always that someone who takes care of us.

Life is a beautiful journey, and each of us are unique in our own way. Similarly our journey and purpose are unique too. Even when it feels like we have lost our way, we must believe that it is only leading us to new heights. So, let us always praise and pray to never lose hope in whoever or whatever that we strongly confide in.

"Don't be afraid, just believe." -- Mark 5:36
