Journaling, as cliché and trendy as it may sound, has profound outcomes. From my personal experience, I prefer to call it 'writing your own story.' While it can simply be a record of your daily or weekly experiences, it can also serve as a tool for manifesting the life you dream of. You might have heard of creating a vision board as a part of manifestation. Similarly, maintaining a journal can involve pasting pictures of your dream life and writing about the day as if you've already achieved those dreams, expressing gratitude as if you're already living that life.
It might feel strange at first, but trust the process, and magic will reveal itself. For those who find writing challenging, making the journal visually appealing can help.
Few tips for beginners:
Buy a journal that looks vibrant and colorful that has stickers or decorations. You can start by pasting stickers that represent your emotions instead of writing them out.
Use standard journal prompts for the day to make writing easier.
1. What did I get done today?
2. What am I grateful for?
3. How can I better myself tomorrow?
Remind yourself that you are doing this to make memories whether they are sad, happy, anger, frustrations, you value all of your emotions.
Someday, when you look back on your journals, you'll see how far you've come, and that gratitude for your life will keep propelling you forward. You will end up trusting your efforts and capabilities, now that you have proof of them. You will learn to appreciate yourself and the people around you and naturally value life.
Journaling is ultimately an individual choice, however I would urge you to give it a try and experience the benefits.
