Self care as we all know is really important to all of us irrespective of the genders, age or color. But are we aware of the fact that it invariably also affects our mental health. I don't need a guru to to share the importance of routines because this is something I have experienced through my own journey.
Yes it may take a long time to actually make this a habit or be consistent. But lets not forget we are humans with inevitable moods and situations. That can affect any routines for ourselves. But what matters the most we come back and pull ourselves up to the idea of taking care of self.
I have been an introvert all throughout my life believing the fact I liked to be alone and sulk in my own imaginary world. Of course books made my all time consistent companions. But somewhere down the line when the world started changing, I realized I was changing too. Humans were not all that bad and selfish as I assumed and I used to feel so good to be around people. But what always hurdled me was to initiate the first conversation, or make that first call or randomly make that first smile. Along these hurdles there were few reflections happening and curiosities that I wanted to explore. Why is something that feels nothing stopping me from being the first one and I guessed it was my lack of confidence. And lack of confidence came from the fact I never loved myself. I never took care of me that I had the confident gesture to do them.
That's when I learned about self care and did many trial and errors. Many failed and am sticking to few that I feel authentic to my nature and life.
